This release will span a single quarter (3 months). We will have a 2.5 week freeze of the master branch. During this time, only bug fixes will be committed.

Release Schedule

2012-09-05	Beginning of 1.3 development phase
2012-10-01	Midpoint in development cycle
2012-11-01	Soft feature freeze. Major features should have initial code committed by this date.
2012-11-19	Hard feature freeze. Tag v1.3.0-rc0, only bug fixes committed after this point
2012-11-21	Tag v1.3.0-rc1
2012-11-26	Test Day. Community effort to shake out v1.3.0-rc1 bugs.
2012-11-28	Tag v1.3.0-rc2
2012-12-03	Tag v1.3.0

Known issues

virtio-scsi is broken. The fix depends on a change currently in the USB tree and waiting to be included in master.
- Suggest using megasas for the test day.
booting from usb-host devices is broken (and has been since 1.1). Regression introduced in commit a844ed8 (usb-host: attach only to running guest, 2012-06-08).
TCG interpreter is broken. Build fixes are available, but running qemu-system-i386 fails very early.
